Terms of Service

These terms set out what you can expect from Minnis and Company and what we ask of you. They apply to all services we provide. By making a payment, you agree to these terms.

1. What We Do

Minnis and Company designs and builds one-page websites for small businesses. Depending on the service you choose, we may also host and maintain your site on an ongoing basis.

2. Our Services

Standard Website Build - £149 (one-time payment)

We design and build a single-page, mobile-friendly website for your business. The site includes your business name, services, contact details, photos, and a call-to-action. You receive 1 round of revisions with a turnaround of up to 5 business days. Once approved, the completed website files are handed over to you. You own everything.

Premium Website Build - £199 (one-time payment)

Everything included in the Standard build, with a more refined design tailored to your brand. You receive 3 rounds of revisions with a turnaround of up to 2 business days per round, plus an early design preview before the final build is completed.

Important: Once all included revisions have been completed and the final HTML files have been transferred, the website build is considered fully delivered. No further support, changes, edits, or fixes are included with the one-time build fee.

Essential Managed Plan - £10 per month

We keep your domain active, maintain hosting and SSL, and provide 1 minor content update per month. Email support is included.

Growth Managed Plan - £25 per month

Everything in the Essential plan, plus unlimited minor content updates, a quarterly design refresh, a monthly performance snapshot, and priority email support.

3. Domain Names and Hosting

Every website build includes 1 year of live domain registration and hosting at no additional cost. This year begins from the date the domain is registered on your behalf.

After the included year, if you are on a managed plan (Essential or Growth), your domain will remain active and hosting will continue for the duration of your subscription. If you are not on a managed plan, the domain and hosting will expire. We are under no obligation to renew, maintain, or transfer the domain after expiry.

Domain names are registered on your behalf but remain managed by Minnis and Company for the duration of any active service agreement. Transfer of domain ownership can be arranged upon request.

4. What We Need From You

To deliver your website, we need your cooperation in a timely manner. This includes approving content and design within a reasonable timeframe, providing any photos, logos, or specific text you would like included, and responding to our messages within 5 working days during the build process. If we do not hear from you within 14 days during an active project, we may consider the project complete and deliver the site in its current state.

5. Revisions

Revisions refer to changes requested after the initial design has been presented. Each round of revisions is a single batch of requested changes submitted together.

Standard builds include 1 round of revisions with a turnaround of up to 5 business days. Premium builds include 3 rounds of revisions with a turnaround of up to 2 business days per round.

Revisions must be requested in writing (via email or WhatsApp). Revisions do not carry over - unused rounds cannot be saved or transferred.

Revision rounds cover reasonable adjustments such as text changes, image swaps, colour adjustments, and layout tweaks. Full redesigns, structural overhauls, or scope changes beyond the original brief are not covered and would be quoted separately.

6. Post-Delivery Support

Website builds are standalone projects. Once the final HTML file transfer is complete and all included revisions have been used (or you have confirmed satisfaction), no further support is provided as part of the build fee.

This means we are not available for bug fixes, troubleshooting, or technical assistance after handover; content changes or design adjustments beyond the included revision rounds; assistance with third-party hosting, email setup, or domain transfers; or any modifications to the HTML files after they have been delivered.

7. Payment

One-time payments are due in full before work begins. Monthly managed plans are billed on the same date each month, starting from the date of your first payment. All payments are processed through Stripe. Prices are in GBP and inclusive of all fees. We are not currently VAT registered.

8. Refunds

Due to the nature of digital services, a full refund is available if requested before any design or development work has started. No refund is available once design work has commenced, as the website may already be substantially or fully built. For managed plans, no refunds are given for the current billing period - cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid period.

9. Managed Plan Cancellation

There is no minimum contract term for managed plans. You may cancel at any time. Upon cancellation, your site will remain live until the end of your current billing period. After that, hosting and domain renewal will stop unless you make your own arrangements. We will provide your website files on request.

10. Ownership

You own your domain name, your content, and your photos. Upon completion or cancellation, you own the website files we created for you. We retain the right to display your site in our portfolio unless you ask us not to.

11. What We Are Not Responsible For

We build websites, not full marketing solutions. We are not responsible for how much traffic your site receives, your search engine ranking, email hosting or setup, social media management, or any third-party services such as domain registrars or hosting providers you may use after handover.

12. Limitation of Liability

Our total liability for any claim related to our services is limited to the amount you have paid us in the 3 months before the claim. We are not liable for any indirect or consequential losses, including lost revenue or lost business.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. If we make changes that affect your current service, we will notify you by email at least 14 days before the changes take effect.

14. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
